"You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life."
Each of us has a wise part of ourselves that is often outside of our awareness. It goes by various names--subconscious, unconscious mind, gut, God--but is that part that resides in you that knows what is best for you. You can trust it. In fact, if you can't trust YOUR unconscious mind, whose can you trust? The key is learning to listen.
This week: Pay special attention to those gut feelings. Notice ideas or thoughts that pop into your head without your knowing how they got there. Ask questions and listen for the answer from within. Experiment with making a couple of decisions that way. For example, if you are wondering what to order in a restaurant, let your subconscious mind order for you. If you are wondering whether or not to go to a party or networking event, pay attention to what your gut says about it. These will give you some easy ways to "play" with the wisdom of this part without having a lot invested. The better you get at listening, the more this wise part can guide you.
