Allow Change into Your Life

"Change is not something you do, it's something you allow."

~Will Garcia

This quote speaks to the need to be open to change--to allow it into your life. That sometimes requires that you be ready for a change. When you are not open to change, no amount of effort and action will bring it about. You will block the change unconsciously unless you are willing to allow it a place in your life.

This week: Ask yourself if YOU are willing to allow change in some area of your life? If not, what would you need to have or to know in order to be open to changing things? Sometimes people don't realize that change doesn't need to be painful or difficult. What would YOU be open to changing if you knew you could do it?

Linda Pucci, Ph.D. is a psychologist, life coach and trainer in change technologies. She helps her clients address the issues which block them for changing--often emotional clutter of negative emotions or limiting beliefs. To find out how she does it, go to http://www.innerresourcecenter.com/

Give Thanks for Unknown Blessings

We give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way.

~Ritual chant

I love this idea of giving thanks not just for what you already have, but for all the blessings that you may not currently know about--they may not have happened yet. I think when you send this sort of gratitude into the universe, it attracts powerful blessings. And it imbues you with gratitude and love of life.
This week: Practice giving thanks for unknown blessings. Let the uncertainty be filled with the certainty that blessings are on the way, you just may not know what they are yet. Celebrate the true meaning of Thanksgiving Day.

Linda Pucci, Ph.D. is a psychologist, life coach and expert in helping people let go of "emotional clutter"--those negative emotions and limiting beliefs that block you from being able to receive those blessings. As a way of saying "thank you," she is giving away a copy of her new e-book, Get Rid of Emotional Clutter: How Negative Emotions and Limiting Beliefs Block Your Dreams and What to Do About It. The Three Essentials for Happiness

"Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for."
~Joseph Addison

People seem to always be searching for happiness, when the keys to creating happiness lies right before their eyes. Having something worthwhile to do keeps us busy and occupied, and focused on things outside ourselves. Loving is one of the things that make us human--finding some way to express our affection and joy. Something to hope for keeps us growing and moving forward, and that is what living is about.

This week: Ask yourself, "What worthwhile thing can I DO to creat greater happiness in my life?" Give love to someone else or something else--reach out to another. And DREAM about what you HOPE to create in your life. Notice how it feels when you have those 3 essentials in place.

Living Your Life's Purpose Brings Happiness

"Many persons have a wrong idea about what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."

~Helen Keller

When you discover and begin to live your life's true purpose, you discover that decisions are easier, life is more satisfying, and you can really create a happy life. When everything is congruent with your life's purpose, happiness follows.

This week: Begin to think about your life's true purpose. Consider where your passion lies. Connect with what is most important to you. What sort of mark would you like to make on the world if you could? Who would you want to help?

Facing Your Challenges

"The best way out is through."

~Robert Frost

When you are stuck or are faced with challenges, the best way out of your dilemma is to face the challenge and move on through it. Even if you are afraid, if you can face your fear, you can conquer it.

This Week: Think about what is challenging you. Is there something you've been trying to avoid? Hoping it will just go away or resolve itself without your doing something? Sorry, it usually doesn't work that way. This week, see if you can face that thing you've been avoiding. Take it on. Do some small thing to address it. If you keep putting the small steps one in front of the other, before you know it, you'll have passed through the challenge to the other side.

Linda Pucci, Ph.D. is a psychologist, life coach and trainer at Inner Resource Center, LLC in Maryville, TN. She has spent the past 30 years helping people face their challenges and move through them toward their dreams. Time and Experience Allows Us to "Unfold"

"Time does not change us.

It just unfolds us."

~Max Frisch

Our lives unfold with time and our experiences, helping us become more of who we are at the core of ourselves. We all hold within ourselves the blueprint of who we really are--our life purpose; our values; the things that make us each unique. Allow yourself to unfold further over time. Give yourself permission to be the person you really are capable of being. Embrace it!

This week: Think about what you were like as a child. What was important to you then? Think also about who you were as a teenager. How have you "unfolded?" Notice the traits that you have brought with you, the things about you that have deepened and been enriched by time and your life experiences. Appreciate how you have unfolded thus far. What other ways would you like to unfold and enrich your life?
