Don't Limit Youself; Dream Big

"We can't think narrowly. We have to think in the biggest possible way."

~ Alice Waters

When you think narrowly, you limit yourself.  You keep yourself from achieving all that is possible.  But when you dream big, you create the possibility that you can achieve things that you may not have dared believe possible.

This week:   Spend some time looking at how you limit yourself through your own thinking.  Identify some area where you have been limiting yourself.  Once you identify this area, or the particular thoughts that are limiting you, expand your thinking.  Consider the possibility that you may be able to achieve what you thought was impossible.  You may not yet know how, but just consider that you could possibly make this dream come true.  Once you do this, you may be surprised at the ideas that come to you about how to achieve it.

Linda Pucci, Ph.D. is a psychologist, life coach and expert in helping people overcome limitations and achieve dreams that had not thought possible with her solution focused approach.  She has over 30 years of experience helping people overcome "mental clutter"--those negative emotions and limiting beliefs that block success and happiness.  For more information go to http://www.innerresourcecenter.com/ .

Love this post! Energetic laws tell us that when we have the THOUGHT to do something, the way exists, we just don't see it yet.

Great blog, as always. A reminder that we are the only thing limiting ourselves. I love the quote.

Thanks Linda! I've realized - for me - that a lot of what has held me back has been my reaction to things; or more specifically, my reaction to my own messages about things.
Your post made me think about a book I just read - and that I recommend; "Outliers: The Real Story of Success" by Malcolm Gladwell. He reminds us of how so much of our success lies in paying attention to the opportunities that open us to us.

I love this line: "You may be able to achieve something you thought was impossible." Linda, that's fantastic, it feels like an invitation to step more fully into realizing a seemingly impossible dream! I'm hearing strains of Frank Sinatra...

Linda, this is a great reminder. I think our family and friends tend to see us as having much more potential and "being bigger" than we tend to see ourselves.
